Panel 1: We continue our look at Elly trying to give her children the same food issues she has as Mike looks at the plate of indigestible sludge on his plate and observes that when John's away, Elly always cooks the foods he hates.
Panel 2: Since Elly is a learning-impaired moron, she thinks that bleating about how the spinach quiche she's cooked is good for him and simpering about how he needs to eat her unpalatable garbage so he can grow big and strong like Daddy will actually make him want to eat her wretched cooking.
Panel 3: Mike wonders how Dads can grow big and strong on foods they never eat.
Summary: I wonder why it is that Elly never got it through her thick skull that she can't whine, simper or martyr her way into making her children eat foods they detest. I guess that's the price she pays for having "anything she can muscle down" as a favorite food and no empathy: the idea that someone might dislike something is always a nasty surprise.
