Panel 1: As John and Elly bellow about how evil he is for asking her to listen to reason, we find Lizzie ask Mike, who's sitting next to the door with head in hands, whatsa matter.
Panel 2: He tells her that Mom and Dad are shouting at each other.
Panel 3: She asks why he crying because they no shouting at him.
Panel 4: He wishes they were; that way, he could understand it.
Summary: This is pretty much what a woman without much in the way of empathy would think a child would react, isn't it? I mean, a child might say that because he or she doesn't quite know how to get the point "If I knew what they were screaming about, I wouldn't be so scared." across but only someone as daffy as Lynn would think "Well, since they think everything is about them, I don't have to tell them it isn't."
