Lawrence has difficulty understanding that Mike feels awful about having stolen the scarf; then again, Lawrence seems to not want to understand.

(Strip Number 4256, Original Publication Date, 3 December 1982)

Panel 1: We find Mike and Lawrence playing; as they do so, an enthused Lawrence asks Mike to show him the scarf he stole.

Panel 2: An anxious-looking Mike tells him that it's right there inside his pillowcase.

Panel 3: Having noticed that Mike is covering Super Teddy's eyes, Lawrence asks him what he's doing; after all, his teddy bear can't talk.

Panel 4: Mike says that he knows this; the thing is that his teddy bear keeps looking at him funny.

Summary: Like I said, Mike's guilt about having stolen the scarf is messing with his head. Also, since Lawrence's conscience is crystal clear, he not only doesn't understand this, he thinks that Mike's crazy and stupid for wanting to look himself in the mirror.
