(Strip Number 7128. Original Publication Date, 21 November 1982)
Panel 1: We find ourselves watching Elly tell a glum-looking Lizzie that she's bored; since Lynn needs her to be four years old today, Lizzie says "Am not."
Panel 2: She then thought-bubbles "What's 'bored'?"
Panel 3: A few seconds later, we find Lizzie looking over the edge of the doorway at a sleeping Farley.
Panel 4: She launches herself at him; it should be noted that Lynn's attempt to draw a conspiratorial grin makes Lizzie look as if she had been trod on by an elephant.
Panel 5: Since Farley is a midget in a dog suit today, he gasps in shock instead of yelping in horror as Lizzie glomps him and yells as if she's just said that she guessed that she was engaged.
Panel 6: Lizzie's muscularly-aggressive hug makes Farley look like he's the one that's been trod on by an elephant.
Panel 7: Lizzie reacts to an off-camera voice yelling her name and saying 'Poor Farley!!"
Panel 8: Elly tells her that she nearly made that poor dog jump out of his skin.
Panel 9: Lizzie thought-bubbles an image of a bear rug as she says to herself 'So....THAT'S how they do it!!"
Summary: I have no idea where Lynn got the idea for this one from and I probably don't want to; that being said, it looks to me that Lizzie is probably a stand-in for Aaron today and Farley for a cocker spaniel.
