Starting on March 8, 2010; Marla (the protagonist) has a serious discussion with her live-in boyfriend about where their relationship is going. She feels that they have been a comfortable couple long enough to get married and feels a bit hurt that the thought has not entered HIS mind.

I think Marla is right in wanting her feelings acknowledged, but her approach to marriage seems a bit dry to me. If she really wants to get married, why not propose herself? It's the 21st century after all.
Scott proposed on May 14, 2010

What do you people think of this discussion of marriage versus the Settlepocalypse?
I think they are similar, because they both feel a bit phoned in. A least Marla has a firm standing on what she needs and wants, unlike Lizardbreath.
