In today's strip, Lynn treats the need to see any baby that's reasonably healthy-looking as being pretty as if it's a miracle instead of something that's just part of being a normal human being.

(Strip Number 4235, Original Publication Date, 30 September 1982)

Panel 1: We find ourselves watching Elly praise Anne for the miracle of childbirth; she does so by saying that she's done it and that Richard sure is a pretty baby.

Panel 2: Anne wonders if Elly really thinks this is the case; after all, he's bald and he's awfully red.

Panel 3: Baby Boy Nichols yawns contentedly as Anne and Elly smile at him.

Panel 4: Since he's healthy and alive, Annie agrees that Elly is when she says that he sure is a pretty baby.

Summary: The Lynnsight will, of course, make the normal human impulse to regard any new-born as being beatiful not as something bred into us to make sure that we continue the species but as a miracle.
