Panel 1: We find ourselves at the Pattermanse a few hours after yesterday's strip; an excited Elly is on the phone yelling for Christopher to come talk to his daddy.
Panel 2: She hands him the receiver and gushes that he has a brand-new baby brother; since he still hasn't quite figured out why he's next door, he says "I do?"
Panel 3: He then asks Steve if he can call the new baby Luke Skywalker.
Summary: I'm not quite sure what to make of this; I understand Lynn's need to tell us how she thinks children think but there's something subtly off about all this that I can't quite put my finger on. Surely real children aren't this odd melange of oblivious and media-savvy; it's like he's a television writer's idea of what a two-year old is or something.
