The Podcast for 20 September 2011

I'd like to think that we might get some sort of hint that Lynn is as baffled by the Coffee Talkers not knowing the difference between a comic strip and a column but I ain't holding my breath waiting for that to happen; we're probably going to get something about why she draws hovercars or something.

Actually, we're in for a bit of an update about her misadventures in Mexico; she starts in with the usual touristy drivel about loving the country, the people and the language before talking about a radish festival of unknown-to-her origins that impresses her for some reason. How 'nice' it is that she thinks of a Christmas tradition 'damned funny', eh?

I shouldn't have expected any more than this out of her, of course; from her breezy failure to realize that not all of Latin America speaks Spanish and that each country that does does so differently to her idiotic refusal to see new things and new places as anything other than curiosities for her to laugh at, she is the disturbed and disturbing proof that Noel Coward was right to say that the wrong people traveled while the right people stayed at home.
