Panel 1: As Elly gets the children ready for his visit, Elly tells them that Christopher will be staying with them while Annie has her baby.
Panel 2: She brushes Mike's hair with a certain measure of force while telling him and Lizzie that Steve will bring Christopher over when he takes Anne to the hospital.
Panel 3: Elly then gushes about how in a few hours, Christopher will have a new brother or sister.
Panel 4: Mike foreshadows Ron Stoppable's peevish blatherings about his adoptive sister being an interloper by saying "Whether he likes it or not."
Summary: This is yet another example of why Lynn's refusal to make the Pattersons exactly like her own makes a punchline make less sense. A lot of Aaron's trouble seems to have stemmed from being crudely yanked from his home so that his mother could live in the middle of the woods with that man and have their child. It's also another example of Elly putting form before function; a rushed father and confused toddler aren't going to care if the Patterchildren are well-groomed, after all.
