Panel 1: Now that we're at the interview proper, we find Mrs Walsh telling Elly that she knows that her interest is writing and she hopes that she'll handle their library corner segment.
Panel 2: She then goes on to that she knows that this column doesn't sound like much of a challenge but starts to explain what it entails.
Panel 3: As she does so, Elly thought-bubbles "Lois Lane, eat your heart out!"
Summary: It's nice to see that Elly is getting something out of this aside from time for herself; too bad that her idiot ogre of a husband thinks things are worthless unless someone gets paid. Worse still that she has to defame Rod by assigning to him an attribute the reverse of what he believes.
