(Strip Number 7122, Original Publication Date, 8 August 1982)
Panel 1: The establishing shot has Farley trying to sleep but being kept awake by someone's thrashing about; needless to say, he ain't happy.
Panel 2: Discontent turns to panic after said someone drops something heavy.
Panel 3: We switch focus to John and Elly's bedroom as their panicked dog comes over to their trying-to-sleep forms. They too find the noise incompatible with corpse-like slumber so they are equally displeased.
Panel 4: They, in turn, are fully awakened by a fearful crashing noise.
Panel 5: John and Elly get out of bed so as to find the source of the racket.
Panel 6: I start to hum the original theme to Scooby-Doo, Where Are You as they and Farley walk down the hallway to solve this mystery.
Panel 7: As John opens a door, he's frightened by another loud smashing-into-something.
Panel 8: A pissed-off John does a slow burn when Mike, who's standing on his bed holding a pillow, tells him there's a mosquito in the room he's ransacked.
Summary: I can sort of feel sorry for both sides here. John and Elly do work hard and do need to have adequate sleep; that being said, I don't much like mosquitoes or being bitten by them. Granted, I'd let them land on me and swat them so as to avoid the punishment Mike's in for but then I have a brain.
