FOOB Mash-Ups

Earlier this week Anonymous suggested "If we're going to sustain interest in this comic again, we need some kind of hook to gather the masses again now that the strip's going into reruns of the better early years. I propose a parody site that takes random FBOFW strips and mashes them up into something else entirely."

There are the obvious concerns about lawsuit-happy creators, though, so why not do it as prose? I've often imagined some mash-ups featuring characters from the FOOBiverse trying to negotiate life in a completely different setting.  Go on -- write a paragraph or two.  If you feel like going the long-term fanfic or foefic route, let me know where to find it!  Do you remember that summer's day when Mike, Lawrence, Brian and Gord found a body (FOOB meets Stand By Me)?  Elly's solo Greek holiday (FOOB meets Shirley Valentine)?  The Little Train Robbery?  When April, on her eleventh birthday, found out that she was actually a famous witch with a place waiting for her at a magical school?
