(Strip Number 282, Original Publication Date, 13 July 1982)
Panel 1: We start things off with Gordo making the scene; he tells Mike how neat this camping trip is going to be; also, he's brought over his sleeping bag and pajamas.
Panel 2: Mike only has those, he's also brought his teddy, his radio, a box of crackers, a stack of comics and a six-pack of cola.
Panel 3: Gordon looks at all the stuff crammed in there and observes how they're going to need a bigger tent.
Summary: I don't want to read too much into this, folks; when this was written, it was simply Lynn noticing that certain offsprings don't exactly know what 'travelling light' means. The problem is that I remember what is to come and how Gordon is doing better for himself than Mike is because he's not stupid. The same boy who thought he could pack his bedroom into a pup tent grew into the dolt who got gouged at Valentine's and spent his money on lattes and bribes to parking lot attendants.
