We begin a story line in which Mike and Gordon camp out in the back yard by reminding ourselves that Elly isn't very good at following instructions.

(Strip Number 281, Original Publication Date, 11 July 1982)

Panel 1: We start things off with Mike and Lizzie playing with the pieces of a tent as Elly reads the instructions; apparently, she must attach frames A and C to post B.

Panel 2: First, though, she must unwrap the tent from around herself; I don't know how she ended up turning it into a burqa but however she did, I'd curse to myself if it happened.

Panel 3: As she hammers the last peg into the ground, Mike asks Elly why they call it a pup tent.

Panel 4: As she collapses from doing too much work in too much heat, she tells him it's because you have to work like a dog to put the damned thing up.

Summary: Oh, har-de-har; another bad pun about how Elly is put upon all the time. At least the rest of the week is mildly amusing.
