(Strip Number 4199, Original Publication Date, 9 July 1982)
Panel 1: As they leave the restaurant, Phil tells Connie to put Ted out of her mind.
Panel 2: In his estimation, Ted is nuts to lose her; since he doesn't know that Ted wants her back as much as he will because he's a character in a bad self-insert fanfic, he's about to look as stupid as people do in those occasions.
Panel 3: We get to the annoying part when Connie confesses that she still can't help but feel a pang of sympathy for Ted.
Panel 4: She wonders if that's why she agreed to
Summary: I don't wonder if that's the case; what happened was the same woman who runs around boasting about how resolute she is folds like a deck of cards most of the time. As for what annoys me about Phil's reaction is that a man who wasn't a reflection of Lynn's need to pass herself off as planting a Lynn seed in men's skulls would probably chalk this up to experience and move on; Phil caterwauls about how eeeeeeeeeeevil and crazy the woman he can't shake is for not being able to make up her damned mind.
