We're probably in for a Lynnsight about how she hates smoking today; that's because Phil has the temerity to argue with Elly about the subject.

(Strip Number 271, Original Publication Date, 10 June 1982)

Panel 1: We start things off with Phil doing fairly poorly; his eyes are bulged out, his tongue is hanging out like he'd gotten BOPPED on the head and his hands are on backwards. He reminds Elly of the obvious by yelling "AAAAAAAGH!!! I feel awful!"

Panel 2: Having melted into a chair, he tells her that he's short of breath, his lungs ache and his mouth tastes terrible.

Panel 3: As she hands him what I assume to be a glass of water (because I've never, ever seen anyone drink beer through a straw and don't want to now), she tells him that that's what he gets for smoking.

Panel 4: He tells the back of her head "'Smoke' nothing!! I just blew up your [edited] kiddie pool!!"

Summary: As I said, we're probably in for a Lynnsight about how much she hates tobacco smoke; she hates it almost as much as she hates the idea of her parents having a boy without consulting her first.
