I watched a movie about Jane Eyre yesterday and I noticed it had something in common with the ending of FBoFW.
(Spoilers about Jane Eyre ahead)
Adele, the little French girl who Jane was tutoring (and might be Edward's daughter) is promptly forgotten after Jane and Edward get married and have children of their own.
I cannot remember if in the book her fate was decided or also forgotten, but isn't it a funny coincidence that both these girls are Frenchies, have roadside mothers and less than stellar fathers before they are forgotten?
