Panel 1: We start things off with Phil announcing that he's just cashed his first paycheck. Since he's a cartoon moron, he does so in Ye Olde Butchered Englisshe.
Panel 2: To celebrate, he's brought Elly 'groceries'; said 'groceries' are cases of beer.
Panel 3: Elly asks why he bought nine cases of beer.
Panel 4: His response is to tell her that man cannot live by food alone.
Summary: He also can't live under Elly or Lynn's roof very long if he violates the only child-proofing measure that Lynn seems to acknowledge: not having alcohol where children might be tempted to get it. Also, expect a Lynnsight about why Alan had to leave Lynn's home at her earliest convenience.
