I wrote a poem bout damn Liz

For National Poetry Month, I'm trying to write a poem every day.

This morning's piece was, enbarrassingly, inspired by FOOB. At the same time Liz was back in Milborough, I had just moved to my husband's hometown. I remember this strange feeling of recognizing that Seattle was "his" city, and his parents, and it didn't feel like mine. The infamous "I did your laundry, sweetie" strip, despite its stupidity, did seem to capture something for me.
