In today's strip, Lynn gets to bleat about how unfair it is that sick children want to add to their poor, put-upon mother's endless burden.

(Strip Number 4159, Original Publication Date, 13 April 1982)

Panel 1: It's late at night and the Pattersons are in bed; as Mike hacks up a lung, Elly tells John that Mike is sick again and it's his turn to look in on him.

Panel 2: A zombified, bleary-eyed and frowning John lurches down the hallway as Mike continues to cough.

Panel 3: As John hands his son his cough medicine, Mike sniffs, snivels and says that he wants MOM!!!!

Panel 4: As a pissed-off Elly gets out of bed, John smiles and tells her "Believe me, my feelings are just crushed."

Summary: As I said earlier, Elly is all about how unfair it is that when children want a parent around when they're sick, it's their poor, long-suffering, unappreciated, they-won't-ever-say-they-were-grateful-until-her-funeral mother; what's more, we'll have a Lynnsight to prove it.
