FBorFW Newsletter, April 2011

The latest newsletter has a really fugly picture of what I thought to be Elly (but who's probably just some random mutant) for your viewing displeasure. Also, the second treasury is called "In the Beginning, there was MartyrdomChaos."

April is here! We thought we'd celebrate Spring's arrival by giving the newsletter a fresh coat of paint and rearranging the furniture a bit - we hope you like the new giveaways we have planned!

New monthly contests:
Instead of asking trivia questions, we'll challenge you with a different mini-task every month and will offer a surprise from our stash of rare and unusual FBorFW goodies. Scroll down further to check out our new challenges.

Lynn and Jan in Santa Rosa: On March 27th, Lynn and her friend Jan Eliot (the Stone Soup cartoonist) appeared at the Schulz Museum in California to discuss their work, answer questions, and sign books. Were you there? Send us your photos and tell us what you thought!

Have you seen Lynn's strip notes? For a few months now, Lynn's been writing mini-memoirs underneath each daily strip. They've been getting rave reviews - check 'em out!

Spring is springing! Play our Spring Thing game to celebrate.

Follow us on Twitter! We share news, website updates and the occasional tweet straight from Lynn! She may be tweeting, but she's no twit - get the scoop on studio happenings right away.

Drawing Contest! Send your illustrations of your pet(s) to design@fborfw.com. We'll post them on our site, and Lynn will choose one lucky artist to receive a plush Farley toy. This contest closes at the end of April. Parents: please submit your child's art from your own email address - if your kid wins, we need to get your mailing address from an adult.

Help us interview Lynn! For our next round of podcasts, we want you to be the interviewer! Record a YouTube video of yourself asking Lynn an interview question. Send us the link to your video - we'll collect your questions for our next interview session and Lynn will respond to a selection of them via video podcast, featuring an appearance by you!

Our podcasts are now available through iTunes! If you have iTunes installed on your computer, you can subscribe to our podcasts and receive each new one automatically when it is added.

Have you joined us on Facebook yet? People who "like" our Facebook page get lots of chances to win signed books, and get first notice of new stuff on our site.

We keep getting asked "How do I get FBorFW by email?" Universal Uclick offers two types of accounts on GoComics.com - paid (Genius) and free - and both allow you to get comics by email. Sign up for your free account here. You can also learn more about the difference between services and upgrade to Genius level if you wish.

[Nightmare-inducing picture of Elly; it's supposed to be her smiling but it looks like she just had a bowling ball inserted in her rectum.]

Tell us in 100 words or less how you use our Strip Catalog - we've got 11,000 strips there for the browsing.

Do you prefer the random strip generator, or do you browse by book? Have you used the catalog to find an old favourite strip? What do you think about it?

Tell us and we'll choose one winner to receive a surprise FBorFW gift.

Next month: a different challenge and a different prize! Thanks for joining in!

Use coupon code APRIL2011 for 6% off orders over $10 this April!

Something Old, Something New is now available!

Colour Me Well - Lynn's colouring book!

$1 Wall Calendars - while they last!

Check out the bargain bin!

abaasandeke - he basks in the sun (we have been, for sure!)
