We end the week with Mike and Lawrence realizing that the school year will end soon.

(Strip Number 237, Original Publication Date, 27 March 1982)

Panel 1: We find ourselves outside as Mike tells Lawrence to look at the buds on the trees.

Panel 2: Lawrence points out that one has already opened up.

Panel 3: He smiles broadly as he tells a happy Mike that this means it's Spring which means that it's almost Summer which means....

Panel 4: They make that annoying muppet-mouthed smile as they remind us of Lynn's odd love of having male characters grappling for no reason and yell "NO MORE SCHOOL!!!!!"

Summary: Mike's reason for not liking school is obvious; as we're going to see, Lawrence's is less so. It has a lot to do with Mrs Hardacre making a pet of the discipline problem he pals around with while ignoring everyone else. That being said, there's a problem I have with this strip; real eight year olds would be somewhat depressed that it's three whole months until summer vacation, not acting like this.
