(Strip Number 234, Original Publication Date, 23 March 1982)
Panel 1: We start things off with Bug-Eyed Elly bellowing because her pottery bird is broken.
Panel 2: She then yells "Elizabeth! Come Here!"
Panel 3: We zoom out to see her looking at the couch and yelling "Elizabeth, where are you?"
Panel 4: As Elly stands there with her eyes narrowed as so to indicate disproportionate rage, Lizzie pokes her head out from behind the couch and thought-bubbles "One sneeze an'it's game over."
Summary: Let's do something Elly won't and can't do and imagine things from Lizzie's perspective; here she is, just tearing around because there's a feeling in her limbs that Mommy doesn't want to admit exists that feels good to move and something breaks. She didn't set out to break the damned thing and she's sorry it did but she also knows that Mommy is filled with the need to scream and yell and ask "Why?? Why?? Why do you want to be mean to Mommy??" and make her life a living Hell. You'd hide too if you had Elly for a mother.
ETA: Given that Lynn has lived in Canada all her life, you'd think that a banner celebrating the arrival of Spring would also be a celebration of wait-a-minute weather. "Don't like that it's snowing, Jonesy? Wait a minute and it'll rain!"
