(Strip Number 4144, Original Publication Date, 10 March 1982)
Panel 1: As Connie puts her jacket on, Elly tells her that she's got a lot to offer. This seems like a positive thing but, well, we're seconds away from our hero saying something stupid.
Panel 2: And here it is! She tells her that Ted's leaving is the best thing that could have happened to her.
Panel 3: That's because he's a spoiled, selfish, narrow-minded male chauvinist pig! This condemnation doesn't please Connie in the least.
Panel 4: She explains why by angrily and tearfully telling Elly that she's talking about the man she loves.
Summary: Why DID Elly say something so mean-spirited and stupid? Because she's a spoiled brat who not only doesn't understand Ted at all or realize that there are two sides to every story, she's one who doesn't want to grow up. Maturity is too haaaaaaaaaaard and she haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaates it.
