Panel 2: Now, how are we to interpret this? Did Jim's tone indicate that he thought snow was unusual at this time of year? Or is it a matter of Iris being condescending, like "Of COURSE, it's snowing, my enfeebled husband! You've seen it before: BFD!"
Panel 3: Well, what does he normally do -- play tennis? Or does he wish he could go on another horticultural tour and be rude to the guides again?
Panel 4: Okay, but why Elly? This is a seniors' community, as I recall; surely there's something going on, or at least a card game they can get in on. Or has Jim alienated all the other residents?
Panel 5: Wow, Jim is channeling Jeremy, from Zits!
Panel 6: Ha, ha. But wouldn't Elly have made this suggestion over the phone? How long did it take her to get there, anyway, with the snow and all?
Panel 7-8-9-10: Man, he is really losing it. No ability to censor himself, flying off the handle like a child, being ungrateful to his daughter...Although I will say this is realistic. Still, you'd almost think the idea is to make it so we won't miss him when he goes.
