(Strip Number 4126, Original Publication Date, 13 February 1982)
Panel 1: We start off with a tight close-up of John as he tells Elly "I guess that's it; vacation is over, company is gone..."
Panel 2: We then zoom out to see Farley sprawled all over the couch, toys all over the place and Mike and Lizzie arguing because she wrecked his toy train; Elly looks at the scene of boring life in her boring household, gets all bug-eyed with despair and completes John's sentence by saying that everything is back to normal.
Summary: You don't suppose that it's stuff like this that makes Lynn chortle about tossing children off bridges to hear the splash, do you? Given her anger issues, piddly crap like this could be what sets her off.
ETA: The latest banner is a new variation on an old (and poorly edited) theme. It isn't nearly as charming now that anyone can see the original at the click of a mouse.
