We find ourselves at an interesting turn of events today; that's because for the first time in months, I have no idea what today's strip is going to be. That's because, as aprilp_katje reminded us, the strips for the first six days of February 1982 have been misplaced. Will we see a bunch of new-ruins or will we end up looking at something from 1980?

ETA: Thanks to kefkaownsall, we now know that we're in for a bunch of material from 31 years ago.

(Strip Number 3755, Original Publication Date, 7 January 1980)

Panel 1: We start things off with six-month-old Lizzie going Ahgoo-brlgl-gaga at John; he replies with a hearty BLAAAAHHHH!!!

Panel 2: He continues to talk baby talk at Lizzie until he notices Elly in the doorway.

Panel 3: Since, as the description says, he feels embarrassed to be caught talking baby talk, John's asking Lizzie how goes the diaper rash is doubtless going to be accompanied by his being as beet-red as Green Lantern's archenemy, Thaal Sinestro. (Betcha didn't know he had a first name, eh?)

Summary: The Lynnsight will no doubt be about one of her spouse's addiction to dignity at all costs; what it won't be about is what happened to the strips that were supposed to appear in the first week of February 1982.

ETA: uclick.com and fborfw.com have the strip from next Monday running today instead:

(Strip Number 225, Original Publication Date, 8 February 1982)

Panel 1: We start things off with John telling Carrie "Okay, your bags, your tickets and the kids are in the car!"

Panel 2: He then asks if he's forgotten anything.

Panel 3: Carrie says that he certainly has.

Panel 4: She wraps a scarf around his face, tells her Johnny that he's not going out without one and totally annoys him.

Summary: Most of the week is going to be spent watching him trying to get her to stop mothering him. Enjoy.
