The strip Foob Central wanted to appear today is the "Dad-daddy" thing that I'd thought would have appeared Friday; the end result is that we were all perplexed by having a note about Aaron when we were looking at Ted.

(Strip Number 208, Original Publication Date, 1 January 1982)

Panel 1: We start things off with Mike asking John howcome he and Elly gotta go on a holiday anyhow.

Panel 2: He then asks what are they gonna do by themselves...without him or Lizzie.

Panel 3: John's imaging all the things he can do without having to worry about the offsprings has him in a storegasmic daze. Not even Mike's trying to Dad! Daddy! a response out of him can break him out of it.

Summary: As I said back when I wrote the summary for what I thought was Friday's strip, Mike probably thinks that he's being punished by being left out of the fun in the sun. He also probably thinks that his parents really must hate him to want to leave him behind; this is where the Pattersons' inability and/or refusal to talk to their children as if they were human bites them in the ass; if Mike had been told 'Well, we would take you but you have school' or something, he wouldn't have to feel as if he were being ditched.
