BDBs: A two-fer in panel 3.
Panel 1: The zits have returned, AND the neanderthal face from yesterday carries over! Do they still do book reports in ninth grade? And what could inspire snorting, grunting, fuming, groaning and grumbling while she's writing the report? IME, frustration comes into play when you can't get started. As soon as you know that you'll have something to turn it, the pressure's off.
Oh wait, I forgot: It's sooooo difficult and confining for someone with April's artistic integrity to have to write about stuff like "theme" and "tension" and "character development". Help help she's being repressed.
Panel 2: Well, I have to say I agree with April a bit. If she wanted Elly's help, she would have asked for it. As such, Elly should ease back.
Panel 3: I like the stuffed animal on the bookshelf. But the poster is way out of date. Snarling, tattooed death-metal stars are from my generation, not April.
Panel 4: Yeah, and you wonder why her attitude sucks when you talk about her that way.
