It's November! We've had a little snow already, which is not unusual for our area, and we're feeling winter creeping in our direction!
Colour Strips and colour commentary! Thanks for all your feedback on the new colour strips! You all seem to be enjoying Lynn's commentary underneath the daily strips as well. This is a new feature that's exclusive to our website, so visit our Strip Fix page to read Lynn's remarks on the strips we're currently running! Don't forget to visit our Coffee Talk blog to see what other people are saying about the strip and Lynn's comments.
Something Old, Something New is coming very soon! Something Old, Something New features storylines from the strip's first three cartoon collections- I've Got the One-More-Washload Blues..., Is This "One of Those Days," Daddy?, and "It Must Be Nice to Be Little"--with entirely new cartoons and full-color Sundays. We'll be offering them signed from Lynn's shop!
Thanks for your Farley Month contributions: The Farley Foundation is a charitable organization that subsidizes non-elective medical care for pets of seniors receiving the Federal Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) and persons with disabilities receiving the Ontario Disability Support Payment (ODSP) or the Federal CPP Disability Benefit. Every October we assist the Foundation with their fundraising efforts, and this year in addition to donating $3 for every copy of Remembering Farley, we also hosted a limerick contest - the winner received one of our Plush Farley toys and a copy of the Remembering Farley book. Learn more about the Foundation here.
2011 Wall Calendars are here! We managed to obtain a very limited number of calendars for 2011, so please order yours early to avoid being disappointed. You can get yours here.
There are some new features in our comic strip catalog (the part of our website where we've archived more than 11,000 FBorFW strips). We added a page of neat things that we found while archiving all the strips (such as the first appearances of favourite characters and strips where Lynn has sent messages to fellow cartoonists) and a page of errors and oddities - there are a few stray strips in here that defy our ability to place them in the general order of things, and of course there are some strips with amusing errors that defied teams of editors and proofreaders. If you wish to contribute to either page, we'd love to hear from you!
Have you joined us on Facebook yet? Our Facebook fans recently told us they'd like to see more word games on our site, so in October we added a brand new daily crossword puzzle to the site - with a new one being delivered every day. Hope you enjoy them!
Over the years, we've confused our worldwide readers by including so many Canadianisms in FBorFW that we thought it would be a good idea to make a page explaining the common ones. Hope you learn something interesting about Canada here!
We've been podcasting! Check out our brand new video podcast page for some short interviews with Lynn!
2011 Wall Calendars are now available.
