(Strip Number 4071, Original Publication Date, 28 September 1981)
Panel 1: We start off with Mike, who's got a cold, SNUFFLING and SNIFFING as he wipes his runny nose on his hands.
Panel 2: We next see Lizzie HACKING, KOFFING and WHEEZING with her mouth uncovered.
Panel 3: As Mike walks down the hallway, he passes by Elly who's WHONKING and COUGHING as she blows her nose into tissue paper.
Panel 4: He then passes by John who emerges from behind his paper and asks if he's brought anything home from school.
Summary: I have no idea what the notes will say about this but I do know this; a lot of times, a school acts like a Petri dish. You have a lot of offsprings and small ones who honestly don't see that their reluctance to cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze and to wash their hands tend to spread illness to their fellows. As I said, I'm sort of sensitive to this because a lot of my relatives have breathing problems; that makes being near children who can't (or won't) practice good hygiene an issue. One wonders what the notes for this one will say; given her animus against spending time with the kids, need to pose as a victim and lack of awareness of how things work, Lynn's probably going to accuse Aaron and Katie of deliberately getting sick to screw up her life out of wanton malice.
