FBorFW Newsletter, September 2010

Here's something interesting; they've already posted September's newsletter on the homepage.

September is here! While we're not quite ready for summer to be over yet, there's not really a lot we can do about it! We're distracting ourselves with some interesting new projects.

Something Old, Something New, the first FBorFW treasury book, will be out soon! Check out our News Bites page to learn more about the book, or scroll down to see the cover. Something Old, Something New features storylines from the strip's first three cartoon collections- I've Got the One-More-Washload Blues..., Is This "One of Those Days," Daddy?, and "It Must Be Nice to Be Little"--with entirely new cartoons and full-color Sundays. We'll be offering them signed from Lynn's shop!

The Server Switcheroo: we cut over to our new web server in mid-August; the change went remarkably well and by now any website issues that cropped up have been worked out. Our new server is faster, newer and has more resources available so we can concentrate on building new content!

Temporary Shop Closure: our online store was closed temporarily while we moved. You can access it again here: The FBorFW Shop. We'll be setting up pre-orders for the new treasury book shortly. To thank you for your patience with our server move, we've put a bunch of items on special, and if you enter the coupon code SUMMER2010 at the checkout, you can have $5 off orders over $10.

Lynn recently drew the last of the new For Better or For Worse Sunday strips. It ran on July 11th. To document this milestone, a friend filmed her as she drew the strip and then Lynn's son Aaron edited the video for us. It'll be online soon - the first of a series of videos featuring Lynn that we expect to be posting, so keep an eye on our website for more information about upcoming video content.

Thanks for browsing our archive of FBorFW strips. We have more than 11,000 comic strips included in our database, and you can search by punchline, by book, by keyword or even get a random strip whenever you like. It's a work in progress - if you have any suggestions for improving it don't hesitate to email us. Right now we're on a mission to track down and fill in any strips which have gone missing over the years - so if you spot any "missing strip" graphics while you're browsing the catalog and you know where we can find a copy, we'd love your assistance!

Plush Farley! Everyone who's emailed us about Farley has loved him! Get yours today.

Treasury editions of Lynn's strips are in the works. We'll share updates as we get more information.

We've had some people asking whether we'd be releasing the FBorFW animated specials on Blu-Ray. Please let us know if you'd be interested and we'll look into it!

Note the casual manner in which the author discusses the end of the new-run era; also note that Lynn bows out engaged in Rod-bashing.
