FBorFW Newsletter, July 2010

Since the First of July isn't a holiday in the States, we get the newsletter on the first of the month:

It's July! The end of June marks the beginning of shadfly season here in the North Bay area, a distinction we enjoy due to the cleanliness and good health of Lake Nipissing. What's a shadfly you ask? Check out this month's featured website (below) to learn more. Also in May and June, we're privileged to enjoy a lovely display of lupins along Lynn's stretch of road in Corbeil. Scroll down to this month's studio photo for a glimpse.

In website news, we're pleased to announce the acquisition of a brand new web server. Steph's busy moving entercomcanada.com, nedtanner.com and of course fborfw.com to this newer, faster, more secure machine.

We aim to make the process as smooth as possible, but we thank you for your patience in the case of a temporary disruption in the availability of our sites.

Do you like to draw? Send us your fan art! We're looking for your illustrations of the FBorFW characters for a new page in our website.

Our newest game, Word Roundup, is getting rave reviews from our website guests. It's a word search / crossword puzzle hybrid, and a new Roundup game appears magically every day. Try it out!

Uncover Summer Fun, our summer-themed memory game, is now on the site for a limited time! Match the tiles and test your gray matter!

We have a brand new Thinking of You e-greet that's really special. It's animated, features Farley and was created by Lynn's good friend and gifted animator Greg Ford. Go here to send it. (It's the first greet on the upper left!)

We're always interested in your suggestions for our site. Look us up on Facebook or email us with your suggestions!

We're thrilled to see how many people have been enjoying our archive of FBorFW strips. Did you know you can browse 30+ years of FBorFW comics here? We've got a "browse by book" feature where you can see which strips appear in our collection books. We've just added listings for More Than a Month of Sundays and Our Sunday Best, two relatively rare collections of Sunday comics from the early days of the strip.

Plush Farley! Everyone who's emailed us about Farley has loved him! Get yours today.

Treasury editions of Lynn's strips are in the works. We'll share updates as we get more information.

We've had some people asking whether we'd be releasing the FBorFW animated specials on Blu-Ray. Please let us know if you'd be interested and we'll look into it!
