We lead off the End-of-the-school-year arc with Lynn engaging in Three's-Company-level dialog about comparing report cards. If this seems somewhat late to you, it should be noted that the last day of school year where I live is this Friday.

(Strip Number 4023, Original Publication Date, 22 June 1981)

Panel 1: We find ourselves in Elly's kitchen; as she sits down to have coffee with Connie, she and her friend are shocked by Lawrence, who's outside with Mike, saying "Come on, Mike; who's gonna know?"

Panel 2: The plot sickens as he says "I'll show you mine if you show me yours..."

Panel 3: Elly looks out the window with her eyes bulging in horror only to find them not doing the horrible thing she and Connie expected.

Panel 4: Elly turns to Connie, smirks and says "Report cards."

Summary: As far as old jokes go, this is one I could do without; I could also do without tomorrow's strip in which she rips off every joke about unruly kids that ever existed.
