(Strip Number 4019, Original Publication Date, 11 June 1981)
Panel 1: We find ourselves at the local tavern; as John drinks his beer, Ted makes the stupid palms-out gesture and asks why so many women are on the defensive these days.
Panel 2: Since he's an idiot, he can whine about how unfair it is that everything a man says is taken the wrong way and mean it; he has no idea that using the adjective 'little' to refer to people he doesn't actually talk to is a bad thing.
Panel 3: He then moans about how men are chauvinists if they open doors, help girls with their coats or offer them seats on buses.
Panel 4: John delivers the stupid punchline by reminding Ted that they're boors if they don't.
Summary: What we see here is two well-intentioned, ill-informed high-status idiots discussing an issue they know little about and get wrong because they cannot see things from the perspective of the women they unintentionally insult; what Lynn sees is two bad guys whining about how bad being made to be good is.
