Panel 1: We start with a close-up of Dainty Doll-boy yelling "Yaaaay!! YAHOO!!!!! School's almost over!!!!"
Panel 2: We zoom out to see John watching Mike yell that he'll be home all day and be able to do whatever he wants. Wrong. He'll be able to be yelled at because Elly won't shut up about John getting the directions to the cabln messed up; he'll also be able to be Lizzie's primary caregiver and be begrudged his free time. Eventually, he'll be able to packed off to a farm away from THAT GIRL who reminds Elly of all the pretty, popular girls from High School who got dates because they didn't storm through the hallways frowning about sweet dick all and bellowing about stuff they knew jack shit about.
Panel 3: As Elly stares into space with her face frozen in despair, John notes that she's not rejoicing.
Summary: My initial reaction is, of course, to wonder if Elly is ever happy about anything that isn't eating a greaseburger. My second is to wonder why she bothered having kids if she can't stand their company. My third is to wonder why the Hell she doesn't act like a regular mother by assigning him a chore list that she's consistent about enforcing. Lastly, of course, I wonder if she'll even remember this when she's yelling at John and Mike because Train Man took that wrong turn at Persephone township and went to the wrong cabin.
