Panel 1: We start out watching Mike watching Elly drilling holes in a cabinet door. Since the sound effect is GWUUUUUURRRRR-GRRRRRRRRR instead of DRILL-DRILL, Mike is confused and asks "Whatcha doing, Mom?"
Panel 2: Elly smiles and says that she's drilling the holes for the hinges in her new cupboard.
Panel 3: As she returns to work, the drill's BZZZZOOOOOOWWWWW doesn't quite drown out Mike's appreciative GOSH.
Panel 4: His declaring that he didn't know that she was that smart does not go well; she stares the Bug-Eyed Stare of Existential Horror™.
Summary: This is, of course, because she's realized that she's raised a tiny little chauvinist who thinks women are too stupid to use tools. I blame John for this; if he didn't whine about how feminism was a plot to get wives to leave their husbands at home to have to wonder where they were for a change, Mike wouldn't end up yelling "Deanna!!" every time his children tried getting him to unwedge his fat head. The reason I've got a hate-on for John is that we're going to end the week with him getting a bee in his panties because Elly is going out with her class to celebrate the end of term; the big mope ends up wetting himself because he's not supposed to be the spouse that wonders where the other one is.
