Now that we've been reminded that having to think about other people's needs is another unfair thing that adds to Elly's martyrdom, we must ask ourselves what other reminder of how nasty and selfish she is will greet us today. Perhaps she will detest indulging in high-caloric treats and thus making herself fat and ugly.

Perhaps tomorrow; today, she has to remind us that Elly can't think.

Panel 1: We see Elly with list in hand at a men's wear section of the Featureless Void Mall; she thought-bubbles "What should I got for John? He could always use another shirt and tie..."

Panel 2: As she looks at a shirt and tie set, she thought-bubbles "But that's so ordinary; you get a shirt and tie if you don't know what else to buy..."

Panel 3: Her eyes bug out as she thought-bubbles "You get a shirt and tie if you're at a total loss, if you're desperate and have drawn a complete blank."

Panel 4: For some reason, she's driving the hovercar through a blizzard.

Panel 5: We're now at the Pattermanse; Mike, who's suddenly thirty despite looking like a six year old, asks her what she bought Daddy. Her response: a shirt and tie.

Summary: As I've said before, Elly doesn't seem to know who John is or what he likes; otherwise, she'd have gone down to a bookstore and bought him something about TRAAAAIIIIINNNNS!!!
