More importantly, an alert reader told the staff that it would be Meredith's 7th birthday tomorrow, which revealed trouble in paradise: even the slavering fans on the Facebook site aren't 100% behind the new-ruins, other than Tom F, who seems to think that Lynn has retired outright, plus some random comment at the end from Jan G:
Chris S - miss the real-time strip
Michelle H R - Me too. I'm hoping she's secretely writing a follow up book so we'll know in detail what happens to everyone.
Micki D - I would like to know what happens in the 'future'. But I am loving the strip as it is... it has been fun to see the strip from the beginnings... bad thing is I have remembered one or two strips!!! aaaeeiiiiiii
Brian M - I miss the real time strip. Big mistake getting rid of it.
Rhonda R - Me too... I think there could have been so much covered with Michael and his family as well as Liz and Anthony building their family.
Linda C C - While I've enjoyed re-reading some of the old strips, I do wholeheartedly agree with Rhonda's comment.
Tom F - Big mistake? Please. Lynn is allowed to retire if she wants!
Cathy L J - I also miss the adult Patterson children, and seeing April grow up. I'm hoping for that book as well.
Alicia P - I really miss real time!
Kitty S R - I'm glad to have it in any form--.
Anne M M - I really miss real time too.....it's like not seeing the family in a long time! But I also agree with Tom....Lynn has the right to retire and run the strip her way!!
Mia P- i jmiss them too! i wonder what they are all up to! LOL!
John M - Why can't someone take over the writing of the strip with lynne's blessing ?
Alyce J - You can go to her website and read all of the ones since the changes were made. http://www.fborfw.com/ and the older ones too.
Lin M - I miss real time too. The current strips are like reruns on TV. Yup, seen that. I enjoyed it enough the first time to see it again, but I really wish there was newer material!
Kelly G - I also miss real-time. I don't keep up with FBOFW like I used to. I used to read it religiously. Now it's only once in a while.
Kelly G - And yes, Lynn has the "right" to do whatever she wants with the strip. I have the "right" to dye my hair pink if I want to. Doesn't mean everyone is going to like it. :)
Jan G - tell Lynn i met her twin tonight i will forward pics and she also know Rod LOL

These surprised me, since they aren't vetted before publication, and up until this thread, the Facebook comments have been variations on the theme of the camera-in-my-house-Lynn-you-rock CT postings. Or, to put it in terms Lynn might recognize: even your most ardent fans would rather the camera you have in their houses were digital and not a Brownie.
