Lynn Johnston established a huge and loyal readership over three decades with her syndicated comic strip, For Better or For Worse, which is published in more than twenty countries. Her many honours include a Pulitzer Prize nomination, the National Cartoonists Society’s Reuben Award and the prestigious Order of Canada. Johnston’s newest project is Farley Follows His Nose (HarperCollins), a children’s picture book she co-wrote with frequent collaborator Beth (Johnston) Cruikshank. The story follows the fortunes and misfortunes of the Old English sheepdog her readers have come to know so well. Johnston lives in Northern Ontario.

Beth (Johnston) Cruikshank has been a freelance writer for many years and frequently collaborates with Lynn Johnston, famous for the syndicated comic strip, For Better or For Worse. Their most recent endeavour is Farley Follows His Nose (HarperCollins), a picture book for children. Farley, the lovable sheepdog from Johnston’s comic strip, gets into all manner of trouble but follows his nose back home—to yet another bath! Cruickshank is a veterinarian and has owned (or been owned by) hundreds of pets of every size, shape and sort. She lives in Miami MB.

I guess the Winnipeg branch of the KAN will have bought their tickets months ago so they can tell Lynn in person that it's like she has a camera in their house. I just cringe to think that they're sharing the stage with Tim Wynne-Jones and Guy Maddin, among others.
