Unless I miss my guess, Elly will say good-bye to Annie and Lizzie and whine that Annie thinks she's irresponsible for leaving her child behind. This makes little sense to me because it was Annie's idea for her to do all this in the first place.

Panel 1: We start off with Elly sitting at Anne's kitchen table drinking a hot beverage as Anne sits on the floor playing with Lizzie. Instead of clinging to Anne like a barnacle, she drops a ball into Anne's hand as Christopher, who is standing behind her, watches. Annie says, "Christopher will love having Elizabeth here, Elly!"

Panel 2: Elly smiles wanly as she holds the cup in her left hand and her head with the other as Anne stands up, pulls a smiling Lizzie up into the air and says "Mike will come over after school, and we'll be a big family!" This is, of course, because Anne makes motherhood look as easy as John thinks it is.

Panel 3: Elly is even less enthused as a beaming Anne crouches with both kids and says "They'll be in good hands, so relax. A change of scene will do you good."

Panel 4: As she watches Anne pouring contented children organic orange juice, Elly's face is frozen in the Bug-Eyed Glare of Existential Horror as she thought-bubbles "She thinks I'm irresponsible."

Summary: Actually, Elly, Annie thinks of you as someone who needs a reality check; from where she sits, you look like someone who'd whine about a free lunch.

[N.B.: We can probably expect to see modified dialogue in Panel 4 in order to mesh more closely with Lynn's odd views about working mothers.]
