BDBs: One, in panel 3.
Panel 1: I'm reading some subtext here. "It's nice to have you home (so I don't have to do stuff like lunches an' laundry) after you made an unnecessary trip up North. I mean, Liz is a woman grown, and she doesn't have a broken leg this time; would it have KILLED her to take the bus?!"
Panel 2: What's in that box, I wonder? And it's so nice to see John gallantly carrying the now-empty suitcase.
Panel 3: What the hey? John has girl-butt all of a sudden! And this is a new one on me---why won't Liz be home for Christmas?
Panel 4: You know, I was thinking the same thing even before I saw Katranna's comment. That does look like the spectre of a grandchild on the bed. I never knew Liz to be into babydolls. She has her childhood bunny with her up north, but beyond that, I only ever saw her with fashion dolls, or ones small enough to fit into a dollhouse. Not life-size infants. Anyway, that musing: "Quality time...is priceless" isn't even a response to anything. Who said anything about price? And how about cutting the cord already?
