Panel 2: So this guy has the usual FOOBiverse matronly hips. And he's taking the bait, while Elly pretends that that picture deal was anything but a matchmaking attempt. ETA: And what an odd way to phrase it: "Is she engaged?". "Is she involved with anyone? Does she have a boyfriend? Is she "single"?" (because you know Lynn would put "single" in "quotes"). "Engaged" just seems so quaint to me. I can understand if you're in school, and it's not practical to have the wedding before graduation, but you want to have some symbol of commitment. But out of school, you're either going to get married or you're not; if you need a diamond to keep both parties faithful, then it must not be a very strong relationship.
