Since I don't expect to see a new-ruin today, we're about to bear witness to this.
Panel 1: Michael looks out his car window as he points and yells, "There it is! There's our house!"
Panel 2: He yells "YA-A-A-AY!!" as he climbs over Lizzie's booster seat and charges out of the car.
Panel 3: As John detaches the camping pod from the hovercar, he asks "What's with Michael? We were only gone a few days." Elly, who's holding Liz while standing in front of the car, has no idea. I do, though; he had a lousy time because his parents ignored him so they could do stupid things while expecting him to entertain himself.
Panel 4: Michael is actually embracing the house (hugging a corner) while thinking, "Hi, house! Did you miss us?" It should be noted that he does so with more passion and sincerity than he ever shows a human being.
Summary: As
chucique mentions, the story has a happy ending as one day, Mike is reunited with his true love, never to leave it again.
