Well, I'm right about whining being involved.
Panel 1: We start off with Elly pushing Lizzie on the swing as Connie looks on; Mike and Lawrence are running around like the children they are.
Panel 2: As Connie and Lawrence walk home, she waves goodbye to the Pattersons' silhouettes.
Panel 3: We jump in time to the evening meal as Elly dishes out some Cheapie Weenie Casserole.
Panel 4: As she tucks Mike in for what she hopes is the night, Elly thought-bubbles "Well, I'd say it's been a very successful day."
Panel 5: She thought-bubbles as she walks down the hall "The kids wore out before I did." It should be noted that she looks as if she bore witness to an atrocity instead of watching her kids enjoy a pleasant afternoon in the park.
Summary: Gee, what a cheery thing to think. I know that raising kids isn't easy but could someone offer Elly some Prozac and some therapy?
