ETA: Since I know that Lynn has something putrid in store, I'm changing my icon.
ETA 2: It's simply whiny instead of rage inducing.
Panel 1: We start off with a fixture of my youth: an ice cream man making the rounds on his bike. The Chingle-chiming of his bike attracts three silhouettes, two of whom yell "It's the ice-cream man!!"
Panel 2: The silhouettes turn out to be Mike, Lawrence and Lizzie, all of whom are wearing what they did Tuesday. As Connie looks on, the Good Humor man tells Elly "That'll be ten bucks even, ma'am."
Panel 3: Mike, Lawrence and Lizzie enjoy their ice cream.
Panel 4: As do Elly and Connie. Elly says that there's nothing better than an ice cream on a sticky hot day.
Panel 5: As we look at how messy the kids have gotten, Connie's silhouette says that the emphasis is on the word sticky.
Summary: First off, there's such a thing as Handi-wipesTM that can be used to keep kids tidy. Second, I really needed to see the look on Connie's face to know what her mood was; since I don't know if she was smirking, grumbling or frowning, I don't know how to feel. All I get to take away from this is that children can never seem to stay clean for more than five seconds.
ETA 3: I'd like to thank you for the birthday greetings; I just wish that Lynn had seen fit to give me a better present.
