Nope...just Elly whining about not having free time.
Panel 1: As Elly lays Lizzie in her crib, she smiles and says "Sleep tight, baby."
Panel 2: She grins the same grin as Charlie Brown in his rare happy moments; that's because she thought-bubbles that she's got 'it' all done. 'It' consisted of the cleaning, the ironing, the laundry and putting the baby to bed.
Panel 3: As she sits down to read her Portrait magazine, she thought-bubbles that she has free time and must take advantage of it quickly.
Panel 4: As a dirty-faced Mike flings his jacket on the floor and cheerfully yells "Hey, MA!! What's to eat?", she reminds herself that her moments of free time don't last long.
Summary: On its own, this is a rather depressing slice of life. I know the parenthood isn't easy and mothers often feel as if they have no free time; what bugs me is that Elly wastes so much time on soaps and shaving sheets it's difficult to care. What bugs me even more is that we're in for another six days wherein Elly moans because she didn't see something blindingly obvious coming.
