It looks to me as if Lynn's decided to take a bit of a break from altering history; for the next week or so, we're probably in for slices of annoying life with Canada's First Family of Assiness.

We're actually in for a slice of completely freaking baffling life.

Panel 1: We start off with dolled-up Elly telling the babysitter (a girl with curly red hair, glasses and freckles) that both children are in bed so she'll have no problems. This should make the homework she's brought with her go easier.

Panel 2: She then thanks her for coming and tells us her name - Karen - when she asks how old she is. Karen says that she's thirteen.

Panel 3: Karen then stares at a visibly shaken Elly.

Panel 4: She then grins a shit-eating grin as Elly sheepishly admits to being thirty-two.

Summary: As you may or may not know, Josh Fruhlinger, the blogger behind Comics Curmudgeon, has a running gag in his posts about how Archie comics are written by a computer (the Archie Joke-Generating Laugh Unit 3000) that failed the Turing test. Today's strip tells me that Lynn must have borrowed it here; that's because Elly's being cowed into telling some kid her age makes no sense in any human sense.
