Damn. I can see why she'd be glad to be wrong today.
Panel 1: We start with RetJohn asking how MikeClone is. Instead of telling him right up front, RevElly tells him that he'd better stay away from them because they're sick.
Panel 2: She then betrays her ignorance of how disease spreads by telling him he should sleep in the living room tonight because she can't stop coughing. He might have, for instance, caught the disease from an asymptomatic MikeClone and be sick tomorrow.
Panel 3: Blissfully unaware that symptoms take time to develop, RevElly reassures him that he'll be fine because they'll all stay away from him.
Panel 4: As she and the kids snuggle together in comfort, she tells him to be grateful he doesn't have what they have.
Panel 5: As he sleeps on their uncomfortable couch, he almost wishes he did. He also wishes he married a woman who understood how diseases spread.
Summary: It's not about RetJohn staying well as much as it is about RevElly being a big martyr.
