Close. It's RevElly flipping out because MikeClone is weird.
Panel 1: We start off in the washroom as MikeClone grabs a hairbrush off the vanity.
Panel 2: He then gathers together bottles of (I initially thought were) Mommy's hair styling products: Hair Goo, Coif! Style Gel and Extra Hold Hair Spray.
Panel 3: He takes all this stuff down the hall.
Panel 4: All so he can give a confused Fauxley a punk hairdo while a gobsmacked RevElly looks on in horror, anger and revulsion.
Summary: As a stand-alone strip that has a young mother angrily baffled by something she never saw before, this is cute and harmless. As part of a pattern of child-hating behavior, it's revolting.
ETA: Given that Elly either wears her hair loose or in the low ponytail that she had before the Elly-bun of Ultimate Doom, it's just as easy to assume that Mike is raiding John's stash of greasy kid stuff. Tradition is all well and good but Brylcream is for old people.
